Rural Voices Day 2026

On March 4, 2026, the Alliance of Rural Public Media will host the first-ever Rural Voices Day. In the wake of massive funding cuts to public media, we hope to make this an annual event that celebrates and supports the role that public radio stations play in connecting, securing, and informing rural America. Below you will find more information on station registration and participation and how to access available event assets.

About Rural Voices Day 2026

For the inaugural Rural Voices Day, we’re showcasing how public stations show up for their communities under the theme: Resilient • Committed • Local. Throughout the day, we’ll highlight the unique and vital services stations like yours provide in rural areas, and give audiences in these regions a chance to express their gratitude and share the impact local stations have on their lives. It is also an opportunity for local and state stakeholders to voice their support for local stations’ service to rural communities.

Participating Stations

Stations across the country are participating in Rural Voices Day 2026! Check out how rural stations are celebrating, and find out if your local station is signed up for this year's event.

Station Resources

To assist in your station's participation in Rural Voices Day 2026, the Alliance of Rural Public Media developed a full suite of resources, including a station toolkit, graphics, logos, templates, and more!

Registered stations can access these resources through the ARPM Partner Portal. If you have any questions about event resources, contact us at [email protected].
